Held full planning, operating, marketing, financial, and administrative responsibility for a Senegal in-country program to improve literacy rates and break the poverty cycle in 13 remote villages in rural Fatick, Kaffine and Thies regions. Supervised 6 direct reports in addition to international donors group capacity from 6-30 people per group.
Key accomplishments:
- Spearheaded in-country logistics procurement while also controlling community budgets (up to $8,000 per group) to ensure that staff and donors had safe and culturally appropriate field experiences.
- Recruited and educated key stakeholders in selected villages on homestay hospitality, cultural norms, and gender appropriation.
- Implemented tactful execution of tactful implementation of ethnic, cultural, and religiously influenced training to align community members, Western donors' and local staff on company methodology.
