- Originally enlisted in the US Army Reserves. After my first deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from Jun 2005-Nov 2006 I re-enlisted into the Arizona Army National Guard. I deployed with the AZ ARNG as a member of a Logistical Military Advisory Team to the Iraqi Army Transportation School as the Bulk Fuel Advisor from Sept 2009 - Oct 2010. I accepted a full-time position with the AZ National Guard as a unit supply sergeant in Dec 2010. Was Active Guard / Reserve until June 2013. Continued to serve in the Guard as an M-Day Soldier (Mobilization Day, traditional one weekend a month, 15 days in the summer) until my medical retirement in 2023. I retired an E7 (Sergeant First Class). My most recent position was the Highway Operations S3 NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge) with the 1120th Transportation Battalion, Glendale AZ.
