This was a great job with lots of exercise and personal interactions. Coming to UMO with experience from the US postal service made the transition very easy, with similiar job duties. My job as a mail carrier included tasks such as daily sorting of all mail, delivery and outgoing mail pick up of US mail and campus mail. Delivering packages and completed job orders from our print shop also kept my days busy. Off campus deliveries, including to other campuses, were frequent. Helping out when needed in the print shop was also required. I kept a neat and organized mailroom and work station, as well as keeping a university van maintained and clean. Operating a box truck with a lift gate was also required.

I have worked as a rural mail carrier in several offices in the area. My duties included sorting daily mail, putting mail in an organized efficient manner for delivery, delivering mail and packages to my residents, keeping mail secure at all times, while keeping personal vehicle well maintained. I have professionally and safely delivered to customers on a dozen routes in Penobscot county.

For this job, I would travel to customers houses/businesses in central and northern Maine, to give estimates for bathroom remodels using our unique Re-Bath products. I managed this franchise for Keith, and completed all ordering, installation, and follow up calls. I also worked with in house plumbers and electricians and have experience in all phases of construction. I still enjoy doing all my own home repairs and remodeling.

This was a very demanding job including patient data entry, specimen processing, drawing blood in-house, at facilities, and sometimes patient's homes. Filling supply orders for clients, getting lab results to medical offices and doctors quickly and accuately,as well as taking large volumes of customer service calls.
