Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, and studying requests for proposals (RFPs).
Lead/Participate in strategy meetings to: identify issues and client requirements, identify key strategy team members, recommend internal resourcing based on experience, establish agreement on timelines and deliverables from the strategy meeting, and follow up to ensure adherence.
Ensuring proposal deadlines were met by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval.
Manage tracking data, coordinate requirements with contributors, and transmit proposals accordingly.
Gathers information by identifying sources of information, coordinating submissions and collections, and identifying and communicating risks associated with the business.
Develops a proposal by assembling information, including project nature, objectives, outcomes, deliverables, implementation methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts, including executive summaries, conclusions, and organizational credentials.
Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations.
Prepares presentation by evaluating text and graphics.
Maintains quality results by using templates, following proposal-writing standards, including readability, consistency, and tone, and maintaining proposal support databases.
Obtains approvals by reviewing proposals with key providers and project managers.
Mentoring new joiners and supporting them in the work process.
Performing QC activities to ensure that the proposals developed by the junior Proposal Developers (PDs) and peer colleagues meet the client expectations and organization standards.
Manage PD triage operations, including the assignment of PD based on Salesforce dashboards, and workload reports.
Allocate resources in Salesforce with accurate FTE tracking, and ensure timely updates.
Perform administrative functions related to triage, including opportunity tracking, reassignment handling, and CRM hygiene.
Collaborate with team leads to ensure a balanced distribution of proposals and efficient resource utilization.
