Summary

I have always had a passion of caring for babies and children, and it has always been my dream to work in an OB department. I love caring for children and making sure their needs are met.

During my time in Nursing School, I have learned so much during clinicals and getting hands on experience. My favorite experience this far has been when I got to assist in delivering twins that were breached. After that day, I knew that I had made the right decision in wanting to be a Labor & Delivery nurse.

  • These boys were born prematurely at 29 weeks and when they were brought home I had to follow doctors orders with proper helmet use and making sure they ate appropriate amount of food to help them grow.
  • Communicate positively with the children and parents.
  • Play games and read books to the twins.
  • Prepare healthy, age-appropriate snacks and meals.
  • Put the children down for a nap daily.
  • Organize and clean home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up play room.
