With Harris Health Systems, my role consisted of a variety of skills and tasks every day. I traveled to different locations within the company, for example, the mailing facility, the call center, the specialty pharmacies, and the 10 total Clinics and hospitals LBJ Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital.
With Rosh Pharmacy, I was able to gain knowledge in the mail order department of the pharmacy. I would fill the prescriptions and prepare them for the mail order process. I assist the pharmacist with the incoming verbal prescriptions. I primarily did inventory, mailing, taping boxes, and answering incoming phone calls. Alongside Walgreens Pharmacy, I gained the basic skills needed to grow in the pharmacy industry. I worked the cash register, filled prescriptions, reviewed shelves for expired drugs, and also handled the incoming inventory we received daily. In the retail setting, the pharmacy volume was high, so multitasking and moving quickly was another important skill I achieved.
