Accomplishments

  • I am a single parent of 3 children. One of those 3 has a severe disability known as Lennox Gastaut Syndrome, a severe seizure disorder with developmental delay. I have raised all 3 children while working a continuous full-time job. It has not been an easy task but they are my greatest accomplishment. They are loving, respectful, and hard working adults now, each on their own path, except my one child that requires constant supervision and care. Even though he requires a lot he exudes love in his smile and touch. I wouldn't change anything about any of them.
  • I also worked for 20 years at Asheville Specialty Hospital as a valuable member of their team until HCA decided to close their doors after Hurricane Helene. I contributed in many different ways including CNA, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Records and Phlebotomy. I took great pride in the care I provided there. When they decided to close, it was not only a devastating blow to our staff, but also to the community we serve.
  • Since that time of closing I have been redeployed to Mission Hospital to Patient Through Put Coordinator. I was supposed to receive 3- 4 weeks of training but received 3 days only. I have been doing that job since October 2024 and excelling.
