In addition to philanthropy hours, we participated in a minimum of five meetings discussing chapter business and hosting a speaker or philanthropy representative. Speakers presented on topics such as practical skills, social skills, civic responsibility, life choices, public speaking, etiquette and many more.
09/01/22, Fish for Change, Honduras Trip, 168hrs, Traveled annually to Guanaja, Honduras to fly fish and provide community support on the island. Rehabilitated and replanted the mangrove forest destroyed by Hurricane Mitch in 1998, cleaned litter from the beaches, killed invasive fish to protect the reef, and built a computer lab for the local school. Raised $5,936 through a GoFundMe and partnered with Dell Computer to provide the DELETE computers to the school.
