Research

Post-doctoral research focused on p53 mediated neural apoptosis and its possible role in the development of neurodegenerative disorders. Also identified potential upstream activator of p53 apoptotic activity possibly involved in neurodegenerative process. Skills gained include cell culture, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, cellular fractionation, immunoprecipitation, western blotting, electrophoresis, DNA laddering and biochemical assays such as MTS, caspase, and kinase inhibitor assays.
