
Dedicated Registered Nurse with several years of experience in orthopedic and acute care settings. Proven ability in clinical collaboration, critical thinking, and effective documentation. Ready to leverage expertise to improve patient outcomes and support healthcare teams.
• Ensure all assigned nursing units are fully staffed, at minimum, 12 weeks out
• Approve/Deny leave or shift swap requests
• Make changes to staffing as needed
• Communicate with staff management to develop, put into place, and modify staffing plans
• Ensure relevant documents are filed for recording and legal purposes
• Responsible for fulfilling the daily operations of the Care Services Center including but not limited to:
o Answering high-volume, scheduling-related phone calls from clients and care providers, including care designers (or managers) and franchise partners
o Resolving last-minute care provider cancellations and sick-calls or urgent service-adds by reaching out to care providers on the roster, taking into consideration individual availabilities, attributes, preferences, competencies, and the labor laws
o Ensuring consistent care for clients and providing regular working hours for care providers by working on the Planner for each franchise 14 days in advance, as per service level agreement
o Support the client intake department overnight by providing specific caring details, quoting hourly rates and packages, and booking complementary consults with an on-call care designer
o Closely coordinating with peers, clients and care providers, including care designers and franchise partners, to ensure high-quality service that adhere to (and even go beyond) the service level agreement
o Submitting an end-of-day report, highlighting all outstanding tasks with detailed recommendations and the steps taken pending completion; tracking franchise performance by measuring specific metrics, including employee absences, tardiness, cancellations, and visits accepted and rejected, etc.
Position:
• Responsible for training newly hired nurses in utilization management, focused on pre-authorization (prospective), concurrent, and post-service (retrospective) reviews for both inpatient and outpatient
• Ensure completion of new hire documents, logins, usernames, passwords, badge access, provide HIPAA compliant workstation, etc.
• Provide precepting support or facilitate a buddy-system to newly hired nurses post completion of initial training as they progress to actual utilization management production work
• Provide cross-training and up-skilling to clinical staff in performing a new task/role
• Facilitate annual refresher trainings on company and client-specific policies and protocols including trainings related to client regulatory, state, and federal laws (i.e., HIPAA)
• Facilitate information dissemination and trainings on updates with Medical Policies, Clinical Guidelines, and Milliman Care Guidelines
• Offer coaching, as needed
• Work closely with Service Delivery, Quality, and Clinical Training Teams in assessing and analyzing the clinical learning needs and performance of clinicians through a well-defined Needs Analysis Process
