My QA experience began at Liferay Inc., where I started as an entry level manual QA tester. I quickly moved to automated testing, where I used Selenium to write and deploy tests for our product. Eventually I moved to our DevOps team where I served as a release engineer in charge of building and packaging our software for customer use. My main responsibilities were writing/maintaining build scripts (Apache Ant and Gradle), administering the company's on-site Maven dependency repository, and administering our Jenkins build automation server.
I took a hiatus from work starting in Spring 2024 due to a combination of personal reasons, however I'm eager to get back into the swing of things. Although I may seem overqualified for the entry level QA position that CivitAI is offering, I feel would it be the perfect opportunity for me to jump into a job that I can approach with full confidence. Since leaving my previous job, I've moved to a relatively rural location where on-site work in the tech sector is difficult to find, but my cost of living has dropped significantly, so a remote-only position is ideal while the lower compensation is not a problem.
Additionally, during my hiatus I've taken an interest in AI image generation. Although I generate images locally using my own GPU, I've relied on CivitAI for its extensive library of models. I find the subject and process of AI image generation fascinating and would love to be part of the CivitAI team.
