We currently have an opening for a Labeler. This position is responsible for Application of accurate labels to cases for export. Apply information to packaging due to country or customer requirements. Information can be applied by printed adhesive labels, ink jet machine, or hand stamping. Information includes translated food ingredients, whether or not a food contains genetically modified organisms (GMOs), whether or not a non-food item can be used in conjunction with food, the production and expiration dates, item #s, importer address, etc.

We are currently looking at qualified candidates in the position of Labeler. The primary purpose of this position is to apply information to packaging due to country or customer requirements.
  
This terrific opportunity is located at Sysco IFG's facility in Jacksonville, FL.
  
Responsibilities:
  
The Labeler is primarily responsible for
  
Carefully opening cases with company approved and issued blades, removing inner packaging, and orienting product for correct placement of label.  
Applying labels supplied by the Senior Labeler to the outer case of product.  
Ensuring Production & Expiration Dates on labels match the manufacturers dates.  
Unpalletizing and re-palletizing product once labels are complete  
Maintaining cleanliness of work area
  
Qualifications:
  
High school diploma or equivalent preferred  
1 year manufacturing or food industry experience preferred
  
The Labeler must be able to:
  
Work in varying temperatures- Dry dock temperature varies relative to outdoor conditions. Cooler dock temperature ranges from 32 degrees to 34 degrees.  
Have strong attention to detail  
Read and speak English. Spanish and Arabic literacy a plus.  
Lift up to 50 lbs. often and up to 80 lbs occasionally
  
Hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, material handling equipment and exposure to dust.
