While working with the DOC, I received two life saver awards for my efforts in saving two offenders that were overdosing. I've performed life saving measures on an uncountable amount of offenders during my employment. I was also a certified defensive tactics/OC instructor, firearms instructor, I was certified in Monadnock baton, less lethal weapons and chemical agents, Crisis Intervention, CPR/Basic First Aid, and mental health awareness within staff and offenders. I was one of three women on the CERT team for the institution as well.

I have been the recipient of four unit commendations in three years with the O'Fallon Police Department. They were given to me for my involvement in high priority calls; an attempted murder-suicide, a large juvenile fight with shots fired, a home invasion that led to a double pursuit, and a pursuit that ended in a wreck with a non-compliant suspect on the edge of a bridge.
I was presented with two life saver awards during my time with the MIssouri Department of Corrections for my efforts in saving offenders that were found unresponsive from drug overdoses.
