Summary

I have over twenty-six years of experience as a professional educator, on modified and traditional calendars, in general and alternative education settings, as a teacher and administrator, both at the site and district level. I have an extensive background in educational services with an emphasis and expertise in alternative education, AVID programming and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support. I have excelled in every position I have held and have established a reputation as a professional through competence and commitment. Being a member of the Superintendents’ Cabinet has been an invaluable experience, particularly in developing my professional practice in support of school improvement initiatives and supporting the district framework for student achievement. Working in a large, urban district has provided me perspective in my field. Each time I have made the decision to accept professional advancement, it has been to add experience and responsibility with a new challenge. Each time it has been very difficult as I value all of my colleagues, students and their families. I hope to continue to use my experience and considerable organizational and people skills to best meet the needs of today’s students, schools, and communities, particularly diverse populations in significant need of innovation and dedication.
