Summary
Our lives are shaped by our experiences, and because learning is an outcome of our experiences, the goal of every teacher should be to provide such experiences for their students – to have students share in the educational process. As a teacher, my role is to build a bridge between what the students already know and to create experiences that further this prior knowledge. As an administrator, my role is to ensure that there is this bridge of knowledge not only within the mathematics classrooms but with all classrooms district wide.
