Summary

I’m 42 years old and have been married to my incredible wife, Elise, for 17 years. We are blessed with four amazing children—three sons: Dalton (13), Reece (10), and Brooks (6), and our daughter Tayloe (2). Elise is a dedicated stay-at-home mom and has homeschooled our children for the past six years. She holds a degree in Advertising from the University of Florida and a two-year Bible degree from the Forerunner School of Ministry. Together, Elise and I have served in ministry for nearly two decades—previously as youth pastors, teen camp leaders, worship leaders, and discipleship coordinators. Our shared heart is to see lives transformed by the power and presence of God, and we remain committed to advancing the Kingdom of God across Florida. Elise carries a deep passion for prayer, revival, and family discipleship, and we strive to lead both in ministry and in the home with integrity and joy.

Call to Ministry

  • My calling to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes began in middle school when a baseball coach introduced me to both the game and to Christ through FCA. That moment planted a seed that would shape my life. Years later, after playing professional baseball with the Tampa Bay Rays organization, I felt the Lord clearly call me to lay down my dream for His. It was in that surrender that He gave me a new passion—worship, discipleship, and reaching the next generation.
  • While attending Bible school near FCA’s headquarters, I reconnected with FCA staff who poured into my life and solidified a burden deep within me for athletes and coaches. After relocating to Florida, I sensed the Lord clearly direct me to join FCA staff full time. Nearly 12.5 years later, my heart burns just as strongly with the calling to see total transformation through intimacy with Jesus, the Word, worship, and discipleship.
  • John 15:16 has been a guiding verse: “You did not choose me, but I chose you…” I didn’t choose FCA—it’s the assignment God branded on my life.

Conversion

  • My journey with Jesus began at the age of 9, riding home with my mom on Jack Bridge Road. With a heart ready to fully surrender, I sat in the front seat of our old car, prayed a bold prayer, confessed my sins, and gave my life to Christ. I’ll never forget the peace and joy that washed over me in that moment—I knew I belonged to Him forever. Raised in the church and attending multiple services a week, God continued to shape my heart year after year. At 12, I felt a strong call to reach the lost. I regularly invited friends to church and any opportunity where they could encounter Jesus. In high school, I strived to carry that same light—often mocked as the “Holy Roller” because I didn’t drink or smoke, but simply wanted others to know Christ. That small-town life became a proving ground for a future in ministry.
  • During my time at Messiah University, where I played baseball for four years, the Lord solidified my calling. Through discipleship, mentoring, and deep personal surrender, I was drawn into a life fully consecrated to Him. It became clear: I was made to glorify Jesus and to see lives transformed by the power of His Gospel.

Philosophy of Ministry

  • A Life Anchored in Intimacy with Jesus
  • At the core of ministry is a deep, personal, and daily relationship with Jesus Christ. Ministry flows from the place of abiding, where identity is formed, vision is refined, and purpose is sustained. I believe that time in the Word, prayer, worship, and intercession are not side practices, but the foundation for any spiritual leadership. A ministry rooted in intimacy reflects the love, wisdom, and authority of Christ. Without intimacy, we risk striving in our own strength rather than ministering through the power of the Spirit.
  • A Commitment to Spirit-Empowered Discipleship
  • I believe Jesus’ model for discipleship—life-on-life, Spirit-led, and rooted in the Word—is our ultimate blueprint. Discipleship is not a program; it’s a relationship that calls people to transformation through truth, accountability, and grace. My aim is to see coaches, athletes, staff, and volunteers not only introduced to the Gospel but matured into disciple-makers who live missionally. The Spirit of God transforms hearts—we are just called to walk with people, sow seeds, and model the way.
  • A Heart for the Local Church
  • The local church is God’s plan for equipping the saints, building community, and sending the called. I believe para-church ministry, such as FCA, should exist to serve and strengthen the church—not replace it. Ministry should build bridges to the local church, honor its leadership, and see it as the long-term home for every coach, athlete, and partner we engage. I am committed to partnering with healthy, Gospel-centered churches to fulfill the Great Commission in unity.
  • A Posture of Worship and Intercession
  • Worship and intercession are not just personal practices—they are vital strategies for ministry impact. Worship softens hearts and opens heaven. Intercession shifts spiritual climates and breaks strongholds. I believe any movement of God is preceded by prayer. As a worship leader and intercessor, I have seen God move powerfully through surrendered worship and persistent prayer. These are not ministry add-ons; they are weapons of war and instruments of revival.
  • A Calling to the Next Generation
  • My story began on the ball field, and I’ve never forgotten the coach who first introduced me to FCA. That encounter shaped my calling to reach coaches and athletes with the Gospel. I am passionate about seeing the next generation rooted in truth, formed in godly character, and launched into purpose. Ministry to students and young leaders must be intentional, relational, and Spirit-driven—calling out identity, gifting, and destiny.
  • A Vision for Team-Based Ministry
  • God builds through teams. I believe in equipping and empowering leaders who share the vision and carry the mission together. My leadership philosophy is to raise up high-capacity, high-character leaders who are aligned, anointed, and accountable. Healthy leaders lead healthy ministries—and I’m committed to building ministry teams who operate in unity, with clarity, and deep trust in one another and the Lord.
  • A Lifestyle of Humility, Holiness, and Hunger
  • Ministry leadership begins with personal transformation. I strive to live with humility—remembering where I came from, staying teachable, and depending fully on God’s grace. I pursue holiness—not perfection, but obedience and purity. And I stay hungry—to see more of God’s presence, to grow in wisdom and compassion, and to see every community transformed by the power of the Gospel.
