My job title as a Maintenance IV was a variable of different job duties. In the beginning I started as a painter and later was put to do other duties such as carpentry and doors and locks also electrical and plumbing skills were tested. One of my duties also helped in the field of water testing. Legionella and chlorine and Ph. I also helped in Life Safety and worked on egress and exit signs. Extinguishers were also a part of the duties. Maintained campus generators, performing weekly checks to ensure reliable operation. Escorted contractors and ensured compliance with fire panel and notifier regulations. Notify security and our monitoring company when we were doing checks and maintenance. Be with contractors when doing monthly checks on sprinkler and fire alarms and smoke detectors. But mainly making sure our clients and residents were safe and working with staff to make sure all went smoothly. Boosted campus morale by organizing cookout events to recognize staff efforts. I believe I work well with everyone and can work together to make things work where everyone understands our goals. Also to make sure everyone is working in a good work environment.
