Dear HR Manager, I am writing to inquire about the position that has recently come available. It would be a great honor and a privilege to represent this company in the future. I currently work at Flowserve Corporation as a Production Lead and have been at that location for eight years doing many different jobs within the factory. Recently, I work with the operation manager in planning schedules and performing budgets. I have had more than four years training employees at this location and eight years with a former employer. Six Sigma is a large contributor to this company and is used to improve performance and safety. I am currently the assistant manager of the Safety, Health, and Environment committee along with forming the new Job Safety Analysis throughout the facility, and I delivery the daily safety message in morning meetings throughout the company. I have had HAZWOPPER training along with removal of Hazardous chemicals. Assisted corporate safety audits 3 years and have been the Safety representative for OSHA inspectors. I have completed the OSHA 30 program for a certification. I use many different forms to help aid in training from physical to written references. I formed many PowerPoint presentations with over 500 photos each and 4,000 words describing step-by-step instruction on building particular valves. Everyone in the factory uses these to help better serving the customer (Engineers, Sales, Quality, Assemblers, and Management). I have been in management in one factory serving as supervisor of 35 employees, and have been a landscape manager for over a year being over quotes and budget. I have worked in as well as work with Quality in numerous roles including quality control and process improvement, and if given the chance could improve this company with my experiences. I have also received from Flowserve the coveted “Spirit of Flowserve” award 3 years in a row. Only employees that have shown exceptional dedication and major contributions receive this award. P.S. I am very dedicated in making sure that the job is completed no matter how long it takes. I completed my bachelors in four years and maintained great performance with over 50 hours a week, and a 3.82 GPA. Sincerely, Christopher S Story doccstory@gmail.com
