OTHER VOLUNTEER WORK

I volunteer as a BUDDY to two young children with developmental disabilities and physical limitations who are interested in playing sports. I work on strengthening their motor skills and focus. One child is now 16, and has Down Syndrome. He loves to swim and play basketball. The other is now 6 years old, on the spectrum, and loves to play soccer. I am helping them with proper stretching, ball skills, basics of swimming. I utilize my knowledge of exercise science, kinesiology, and physical therapy technique's I have learned in college and as a volunteer. Its one to one private setting in their homes. I have been a BUDDY for 3 years.
