In addition to the responsibilities of Oncology Care Coordinator, was also responsible for completing the following tasks for the department of 18 staff.

• Kronos time keeping for Care Coordination department
• Organize and submit schedules for weekly network assignments and hybrid calendars
• Education and orientations within the department
• Assist with organization of remediation program
• Resource of guidance for employees regarding policies, procedures, and protocols
• Creation and implementation of improvements to workflows
• Gathered and organized materials to support operations.
• Attend all Network/Department meetings to ensure the department is up to date and included in changes
• Foster positive work environment, and boost morale to achieve the best team performance

• Functioned as support and provided training to colleagues in oncology care coordination.
• Developed strong relationships with community partners, facilitating referrals and collaboration on behalf of patients.
• Managed patient caseloads effectively, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate interventions.

• Assist newly diagnosed cancer patients, with an average case load of 200 patients through the continuum of treatment, in navigating the health care system and community resources to ensure that any barriers to care are removed and optimal care is received

• Provided direct care for patients receiving infusion therapy in the outpatient setting. Approximately 30-68 patients per day.
• Completed clerical duties including scheduling, registration, and orders verification

• Occupational med; conducted physicals, drug screening, pulmonary function testing, audiology testing, fit testing, pre-employment labs/phlebotomy
• Urgent care; triage and aide for sick and injured patients, splinting, POCT including throat swab for strep, nasal swab for flu+ COVID, urine culture/clean catch and EKG
• Administrative and office support

• Full care of the patient in the hospital setting
• Including phlebotomy, vital signs, bathing, repositioning, urinary catheter care, intake, and output, one to one supervision, emergency response, CPR, documentation, and transport

• Emergency triage, care, and transport, conducted safety drills and training

• Assist occupational and physical therapists utilizing manual and hydraulic lifts for patient transfers in therapy
• Followed prescribed treatment plans for placing therapeutic splints and positioning program for wheelchair bound patients to obtain optimal mobilization of GI, respiratory and vasculature

• Assisted patients with ADL, followed daily programs outlined by coordinators to provide enrichment and entertainment
• Utilized protective control techniques when indicated to maintain safety of individual patient and others per protocols
• Provided one on one supervision for suicidal precautions as well as documentation per protocols
