My first cannabis job, my duties at this location were:

• Answering questions about medicinal and recreational uses and effects and qualities of different strains, listening to customer needs and desires to identify and recommend optimal products.
• Reading industry publications to maintain knowledge on current and future bud trends.
• Selling flowers, concentrates and edibles in fast-paced environment.
• Restocking supplies and arranged displays.
• Checking guests' photo identification for validity and age requirements.
• Engaging in friendly conversation with customer to better uncover individual needs.
• Building customer loyalty and retention by delivering excellent shopping experiences.

During my tenure here I helped conduct 2 Audits.

For the first year of my employment with Goodwill, I worked in the back, where I:

• Greeted customers and either accepted their donation, or turned it away if it was too dirty.
• Sorted through and priced many big containers full of toys, wares, and clothes.
• Load and unload larger containers of clothes, trash, and donations sent from other stores.
• Worked with the truck driver to load and unload trucks of donations from other locations, furnature, and items to go to the online shop.
• Swept and organized the back warehouse, swept the entire sales floor, and cleaned the bathrooms from 6:45-8:00 PM.

For the second year of my employment at this store, I was a full-time cashier at the front. Cashier duties included:

• Engaging with customers for any of their needs, making a purchase, finding an item, or even just a friendly conversation. This also included occasionally helping an elderly or disabled customer by helping bring heavier or harder to carry items out to their car with them.
• Hanging frames, and metal wall art on the wall behind the register. I lifted considerably heavy pieces of decor by myself, and organized it all to look nice.
• Keeping the store tidy during the day. Recovering the isles, sweeping up broken items and glass, wiping down the counters, organizing the carts, and anything else that needed to be done to make the store look nice.
• Keeping a level head under pressure, as the store would often get very busy. On weekends, I have had to deal with a line of 10-15 people on my own, quickly greeting a customer, getting a few words of conversation in as I ring up all of their items as fast as I can, and then respectfully wish them a nice day as I greet the next customer.
• At the end of the day, we recover the entire store to get it ready for the morning.
• I often counted the drawers with the manager on duty.

It is also worth noting that during my time as cashier, I was very well regarded for my donations via round-ups. In November 2024, there was a contest held for most round-up donations in one month. I got second place with $720. -$234 under first place, but +$464 above third place, and better than 10+ stores did in their entirety.

• Made food according to standard recipes with requested changes for customer satisfaction.
• Prevented food spoilage by monitoring dates, rotating stock, and following proper storage procedures.
• Took dozens of custom orders including deep frying 12 piece sets of chicken, cooking 18" pizzas, and frying burgers.
• Cleaned and sanitized dishes and utensils, consistently keeping adequate supplies on hand for expected customer loads.
• Greeted customers at counter to fulfill requests and answer questions.
• Learned other teammates' work tasks to train as backup.
• Operated cash register to manage cash and credit card transactions, providing receipts for proof of transaction.
• Restocked supplies and prepared additional ingredients during downtime for expected busy periods.
