• Provide administrative support to physicians and interpret medical reports and data to assign ICD-10 codes; enter diagnosis codes and patient information into billing software
• Review and validate accuracy of charges, including dates of service, services provided, location, patient identification, and provider signature
• Collect, post, and managed patient account payments
• Perform insurance verification
• Enter procedure and diagnosis codes and requisite patient information into billing software to streamline invoicing and account management; add modifiers, verified diagnoses, and coded narrative diagnoses
• Explain patient balances
• Report paid balances to a collection agency
• Organize paperwork such as charts and reports for office and patient needs
• Document patient medical information, and insurance details to facilitate smooth appointments and payment processing
• Respond to correspondence from insurance companies to verify patient’s coverage
• Adhered to strict HIPAA guidelines at all times to protect patient privacy

• Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher
• Order and restock supplies for the unit
• Unit secretary:

- Answer the telephone in a professional manner; direct calls to appropriate individuals and/or take messages

• Answer patient call signal
• Assembling charts
• Make appointments
• Enter patient information
• Fax and photocopy information as needed.
