  • Develop and maintain the Aircrew Training Program
  • Ensure that aircrews operate to the highest level of safety and that all crew members maintain professional standards at all times.
  • Supervise the screening, selecting and monitoring of pilot applicants.
  • Evaluate flight operations providing feedback to pilots and operations supervisors in addition to taking corrective or developmental actions when required.
  • Oversee all aircrew training assuring standard operating procedures are being adhered to for a team of 60 members.
  • Inform aircrew, operations, maintenance and other pertinent personnel of all changes to training. This includes individual, crew, drills, joint training exercises as well as formalized school training.
  • Coordinate and manage pilot scheduling and training.
  • Coordinate missions, drills and flight scheduling with the Operations Coordinator.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance for monitoring hours on aircraft until next aircraft inspection is due and other maintenance work is to be completed on each aircraft.
  • Coordinate flight schedules to accommodate aircraft maintenance work.
  • Assist maintenance in the evaluations, engineering and development of aircraft modifications and improvements.
  • Manage the aircrew training and monitor status of crewmember qualifications.
  • Monitor flight standards in accordance with Unit SOP.
