CYBERKNIGHTS TEAM 195 FIRST ROBOTICS TEAM (4-8 hours a week out of season, 40 plus hours x 14 weeks in season), -mechanical team grade 10, 11, 12, participated in building the robot once CAD design completed., Was the only trained participant on CNC router and also worked on CNC mill frequently., -PIT crew grade 11, 12, a respected achievement to work with groups of 5 between meets to rapidly determine issues with machine and fix in between games, -Sponsor Lead grade 11, my first leadership position, to help lead a team to bring in more sponsorships to have the money for travel and robot expenses, -Mechanical Lead - grade 12, a huge achievement, essentially running the entire process of the build including training new students, scheduling students, assuring the work is completed in a timely manner and correctly. An honor I am very excited about.- Drive Team- Grade 12, drove both the base driver and operator roles. First student to win a competition as both drivers in team history. Only student to drive with more than 2 drivers in student history. Only driver to drive both base and operator in the same year. Won 2 district events.

OTHER

  • All of the above was done while dealing with being diagnosed with a second and third autoimmune disease. I missed school monthly for infusions. I also had been diagnosed with pectus excavatum and was found to have my chest wall pinching my heart and lungs. I had been extremely tired and short of breath. I missed school recovering from major chest wall surgery. I feel this did limit my grade point average somewhat, but helped my inner strength, perseverance, and most importantly helped me realize that I had much more to me than meets the eye. I know I can accomplish anything if I put my attention to it.
