• Lead project to redesign UVA Health's entire external reference lab workflow for all locations within health system. Oversee and consult operations management workgroup on best practices for streamlining reference lab workflows and directing tests to remain in house at UVA Main Campus.
• Pull data reports from Epic's reporting workbench to inform management on testing volumes and sendout workloads across the health system.
• Perform downstream analyst work to accommodate decisions made by operations management workgroup including in-system build for test records, interface testing with external reference labs for orders and results, and location-specific order availability in Epic system.
• Rectifying previous and existing build errors that delay orders and results, tracking those errors through managing interface error queues, and reporting on progress and trends in test directory stability.
  

• Member of Cleveland Clinic’s Mergers+Acquisitions analyst group. Responsible for Epic implementation efforts for a series of newly acquired hospitals including Historical Results Data Conversion, Future Orders Conversion, Clinical Content Validation with Lab staff, Interface Mapped Record Testing with outside reference labs, and record build/fax server testing of all new outside client submitters.
• Lead of Cleveland Clinic's M+A Pre-Analytical workgroup. Lead workflow discussions on Beaker functionality with hospital lab SMEs, including Lab Directors, Lab Managers, Lab Techs, and Phlebotomy/Outpatient Managers. Demonstrated Beaker workflows, and designed system build that resolves issues between current state behavior and future state expectations.
• Build and maintain test compendium for tests sent to external reference labs. Handle mapped records build and interface testing for new M+A Sites.
• Went live with Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, and five additional M+A hospital sites over 2.5 years.

• Built Results Review Tree in system for all Lab sections, including Historical results, Data Conversion Results, and External components. Daily 1-on-1 workgroup with Lab Director to design and build complex result display.
• Performed Mapped Record Interface Testing for all new sendout tests. Built and updated external reference lab test compendium.
• Directed twice weekly Pre-Analytical workflow meeting with Lab and Clinic Nurses and Phlebotomists. Demonstrated Epic functionality and lead discussions on system workflows, and desinged changes to accommodate UKHC workflows.
• Managed Clinical Content Validation with Lab staff, and ran reports within Epic system for missing/incorrect system build within the Beaker Lab application.

• Altered Anatomic Pathology specific workflow activity reports, profiles, and system views to optimize and better accommodate AP lab staff.
• Interfaced directly with AP lab staff to field their questions, understand their problems, and discuss solutions. Lead monthly Q&A meetings and ongoing issue report documentation to track new issues and their resolution.
• Review full Lab test record catalog to address incorrect collection container setup, and created/implemented system rules for collection containers. Built in correct system settings, and worked with lab SMEs to create collection and shipping & handling instructions.
• Weekly meetings with nursing team for Inpatient Unit specimen collection workflows. Built and demonstrated functionality to accommodate flexibility for Inpatient Unit and Outpatient Lab specimen collection workflows.
• Monitor and fix both AP and CP issues as they arrive during go-live.

Head of software quality. Responsible interface design, user workflow design, and all testing initiatives.

• Conduct learning sessions with current users to understand their work, observe their working conditions, and better understand the problems they face.
• Design system functionality and user workflows combining most efficient product functionality with appropriate branding voice and tone.

• QA team lead for beaker result reporting functionality including result report formats, routing records, and printing/faxing. Planned Beaker Lab Result Reports release schedule with development leads. Responsible for organizing BLRR testing initiatives and updating/reviewing BLRR training points and release notes.
• Member of Beaker's specialized team for pre-analytical Clinical Pathology functionality including specimen collection & accessioning, specimen processing, and test record and result component build.
• Traveled to 13 hospital systems nationwide for software implementation go-live. Supported command center and in-lab staff with new system implementation.
