Bar Management

• Sets up and runs the guest facing bar “GLASS HALF-FULL” during weekly trivia night
• Sets up cash register at the beginning of the shift and handles any cash or card transactions

Guest Relations

• Works private events for big corporations like Blizzard, Apple and Activision

Shift Management

• Manages daily operations of shift, supervises employees and ensures compliance with company policies and TABC regulations
• Monitors daily employee schedules to determine the best time for employees to take time off
• Coaches team members to increase productivity and reduce workplace accidents
• Coordinates with other shift leaders and management to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
• Makes necessary cuts based on daily business or when an employee has worked their full shift
• Ensures quality control standards are met by inspecting finished products prior to distribution to customers
• Assists employees with recommendations about beers, wine and cocktails
• Ability to work in a very fast paced and demanding environment
• Managed shifts for some of the biggest movies to hit box offices (Barbie, Oppenheimer, Avengers: End Game, Wicked and many others)

Bar Management

• Performs bar setup for the day
• Creates a clean, sanitary and safe work environment
• Monitors reach-in and walk-in refrigerators and machines to ensure they are maintaining safe temperatures
• Prepares and labels produce with the correct expiration dates, discards anything expired and logs items that were wasted
• Performs troubleshooting when equipment malfunctions occur to minimize downtime

Inventory Management

• Monitors service inventories to ensure the bar has adequate, clean supplies and utensils required by bartenders before service starts
• Receives and inventories orders received from suppliers; reports any discrepancies
• Communicates with staff and management when more inventory is needed

Training

• Trains new hires on job duties, safety protocols and company policy and procedures
• Trains managers and general managers on my position
