I am currently a Flat Rate Technician Apprentice at Janesville Nissan. I began my career with the company in August 2024 as a Detailer and advanced into the shop as a Lube Technician within five months. Starting with no prior automotive experience, I took a highly self-motivated approach to learning by working closely with experienced technicians and consistently seeking opportunities to improve. Through hands-on training and mentorship, I developed strong foundational skills in oil and filter services, tire rotations and balances, brake inspections and services, suspension and steering inspections, fluid services, and multi-point vehicle inspections.
My continued dedication to accuracy, efficiency, and quality workmanship led to another promotion four months later into my current role as a Flat Rate Technician Apprentice. In this role, I assist with and perform brake repairs, suspension and steering component replacement, wheel bearing services, alignment checks, exhaust inspections, and basic electrical and drivability diagnostics. I am experienced in documenting findings clearly for repair orders, following factory procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. I continue to expand my diagnostic skills daily while working toward becoming a well-rounded journeyman technician.
