Gaps in Employment

From October 2013 to July 2019 I stopped working as both my sons were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at ages 3 and 1.  They needed a lot of care and were unable to do it for themselves. I used this time to educate my sons on type 1 diabetes from what diabetes is to knowing how to manage emergencies (hypoglycemic or hyperglycemic).  They are now 12 and 15 and are independent with their diabetic management, with expert level knowledge of insulin pump management and continuous glucose monitoring.

From July 2023 to May 2024 I took time off to care for my grandmother and grandfather, both passed in home hospice care.
