  • Villa Park High School NAMI Club, 10/2019, 06/2022, NAMI stands for National Alliance on Mental Illnesses and I was a member starting from 2019. I earned the President position on the Board my senior year of high school and helped lead student presentations at my school about various mental health issues and illnesses. I also worked to put together various volunteer projects involving students from VPHS and the community, including one project that recieved the attention of KTLA and CBS news who came to conduct interviews for the Mental Health Monday Segment on TV. I have also done a radio interview for KNX Los Angeles about the specific project as well. Throughout the year, I have been able to raise over $500 to fund future mental health projects to help the community for the next year.
  • National Honor Society, 09/2020, 06/2022, I was accepted as a member as a junior in high school and then earned a position on the NHS Board as a Junior Secretary in my senior year. My responsibility was to read volunteer forms from the junior class and log them into a spreadsheet according to how many hours they served towards sponsored events by us and events outside in their community. As a board member, I was responsible for supervising student volunters for multiple volunteer events throughout the year including beach cleanups, elementary school carnivals, school club events, etc. Throughout my 2 years as a part of National Honor Society, I volunteered a total of 100+ hours.
  • Christ Cathedral Youth Faith Formation TA, 08/2018, Present, I work as a Teacher Assistant for grades 1-4 for Christ Cathedral's Youth Faith Formation group. My job is to ensure that the children have the supplies they need to learn including pencils, erasers, paper, and their textbook. I also help coordinate youth retreats at Christ Cathedral for students in 2nd grade preparing to recieve First Communion including creating games and icebreakers to help the children have fun and learn as well as leading craft projects and doing skits for them as well.
  • Christ Cathedral Altar Serving, 03/2014, Present, I started altar serving at Christ Cathedral in 4th grade and since I have altar served nearly every week and have earned the position of leader for the Saturday masses, overlooking all servers who serve each week and teach younger servers what to do during each mass. I have also been the MC (Master of Ceremonies) for multiple masses including Easter masses and masses with bishops from the Diocese of Orange. As a senior member, I have also lead trainings every few months with the Altar Serving Director/Coordinator for new servers usually ages 8-12.
