Summary

As both a staff and charge nurse on my unit I am adept at leading my team and providing top-notch care at Carroll Hospital Center. I excel in patient assessments and clear documentation. Known for exceptional patient and family advocacy, I've mentored staff to foster professional growth, embodying dedication and compassion in nursing. My strong clinical judgment and expertise with our EMR has significantly enhanced patient outcomes.

I would like to take my current skills and expand them further into the nursing informatics environment where I can further develop and educate those using the EMR to improve safety and functionality.

Daisy Award,

I was given a Daisy award after going on my own time to our hospital's inpatient Hospice Center to visit a pregnant patient's dying grandparent.  It was their first grandchild and it was my patient's greatest wish to have them hear the babies heart beat before they passed away.  Together, the mom and I walked to her loved ones room and we sat together and listened to the baby's heart beat while her grandmother was brought to tears.  Her mom also recorded the heart beat for their future memories.  I didn't expect to get any awards or even any recognition for doing this, it was simply the right thing to do.
