Supervising a caseload of paroles in the community including being part of a diverse team whose mission is to promote public safety by building partnership that promote successful reintegration. Duties include providing parolees linkage to education, employment, rehabilitative and restorative justice programs. This includes actively guide parolees to strength-based resource upon release equipping them with tools to become productive members of our communities. Placement and referring parolees into community actively engage with various community leaders, government agencies, and the public. Most recently, supervising a GPS Sex offender caseload utilizing Global Positioning tracking System.

  • This includes being part of the activation team at Folsom Women Facility and implementing policies and procedures.
  • This facility (FWF) is a re-entry Hub for female offenders with a remaining term of five years or less.
  • This facility provides programs and services for re-entry into society.
  • Currently work and continue with the activation of B-Dorm as a housing Dorm Officer for approximately 200 female offenders.
  • Enforcing CDCR rules and regulations, order supplies for a housing unit including feminine hygiene products, housing cleaning supplies, and tools.
  • Current job in B-Dorm, entail work incentive supervisor insist on good communication skills for all inmates including work crews for various job description including porter jobs, yard crews and mural painters.
  • Conduct clothed and unclothed body searches along with random urinalysis testing for all female inmates.
  • Respond to alarms and use appropriate restraints when deemed necessary.

Housing Unit Officer Folsom State Prison

  • My primary responsibility was to ensure the safety and security of staff, the public and inmates.
  • This included maintaining control of a tier of approximately 130 inmates and using clear and concise communication and applicable training to insure inmate regulations were implement with all inmate unit programs.
  • Conduct daily security checks and deliver mail and delivery of scheduled appointment slips..
  • Engage in daily cell searches to find and remove all and any dangerous altered contraband.
  • Requiring all tier cells visibly clear and free of blind spots and addressing and documenting all misconduct in living areas.
  • Provide scheduled daily unlocks for services provided by the department including work, education and self help programs which each inmate are advised with the prison docket system.

  • This included supervising inmates, preventing escapes and reporting any misconduct.
  • General duties consisted of performing security inspection of cells and surrounding areas to insure it is free of any unauthorized contraband.
  • Orientation inmates or new arrivals were housed in this unit from different institutions and surrounding hospitals including any out to court inmates.
  • Approximately fourteen-day period was utilized to house these inmates pending committee reviews.
  • As an tier-housing officer, I conducted welfare checks and safety checks consistently implementing policy and procedures along with making any required needed medical forms available and accessible to all inmates.
  • Provide daily unlocks for PIA inmates, medical appointments education and self-help courses.
  • Respond to alarms in unit as well as other areas of institution.
  • Use mechanical restraints when necessary and other use of force options when deemed appropriate.
