• Accurately reviewed products and assigned safety testing to 100% of imported and domestic goods.
• Approved and accepted test reports from 3rd party labs to ensure passing results for all safety testing.
• Maintained company testing programs with 3rd party labs such as Bureau Veritas, Intertek and UL, including test protocol creation and approvals.
• Educated internal buyers on regulations and requirements for specific product categories.
• Approved overseas 3rd party factory inspections to ensure quality of goods.
• Assisted company suppliers (vendors) in compliance with U.S. state and federal safety regulations, including company and voluntary requirements.
• Assistant to import compliance manager (see above Trade Compliance Specialist tasks).
