. Set up and assist with intravitreal eye injections.

. Obtain prior authorizations for medications.

. Maintain inventory of products.

. Record accurate medical documentation in patient's EMR.

. Provide a professional clean work environment- prepping the treatment room in between patients.

. Maintain confidential patient information.

. Perform interocular pressure checks.

. Maintain hygiene and patient safety.

. Assess patients and obtain patient histories.

. Record accurate medical documentation in patient's EMR.

. Take and monitor vial signs.

. Starts IV on all patients.

. Perform pre-operative instruction and explanation of procedures and patient's rights.

. Carry out physician /anesthesia orders.

. Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to assure patient's rights are protected.

. Participate in overall Pre-Op/PACU Department functions.

. Teach patients about Total Knee Replacements and Total Hip Replacements.

. Record accurate medical documentation in patient's EMR.

. Schedule patients for surgery.

. Maintain surgical Detailed OR Reports.

. Complete all necessary scheduling paperwork.

. Maintain patient privacy.

. Obtain clearances necessary for surgery.

. Scan and fax documents.

. Schedule pre-op, pre-test, and post-op appointments.
