Ever since we lost both sets of grandparents at the age of 19, I gravitated a lot towards the elderly, I treat them as if they're my own grandparents. So, that's why I applied for the job at Visiting Angels. I love ALL of my patients, most of them had Dementia. Although, some couldn't remember what we've talked about, I still treated them with respect and dignity. This IS NOT a job for me; because I definitely believe that this is my calling. Unfortunately, I don't have children, I am definitely getting up in age and I know someday I will have to go into an Assisted Living facility and I want someone that will take care of me and not mistreat me. I treat ALL of my patients the way I want to be treated.
I assisted client with showering, doing personal grooming. Performed housekeeping duties at client's house. Also took client to town for hair appointments and grocery shopping. I did laundry and prepared meals and did arts and crafts. We assisted did Physical Therapy in between regular PT time. I took client to Doctor's appointments.

I absolutely love reading. I can read up to 3 books in a 24 hour period. I am a christian so, reading my bible is a MUST. I love being with my family, we use to have family gatherings before I lost a ton of family members. Now the gatherings are very small but it's still a lot of fun. I am also a Foster Parent and I have my certificate. I can't have children, but I have 7 god children and a host of nieces and nephews that I love spoiling.
