Head Lactation Consultant RN with over 25 years of clinical experience in maternity units including labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery. Accomplishments

  • Baby-Friendly Designation in 2015 and Re-designation in 2020: The development of Marshall's Feeding Protocol reflecting the 10 steps of the BFHI Guidelines and Criteria, trained all staff and providers to meet BFHI requirements and developed our EPIC breastfeeding charting that is required and helps maintain continuity.
  • Developed orientation and ongoing breastfeeding training for all staff and providers
  • Development of our NAS protocol and the implementation of the Eat, Sleep and Console NAS assessments with coordination with Marshall Pediatricians. Maintains data reflecting the success of our non-pharmalogic approach to our NAS infants.
  • Development of our Bereavement Program within the Birth Center and continued coordination with the ED for miscarriages and infant loss.
  • Manages RN/provider Fetal Monitoring module EDU to meet BETA Insurance requirements and participate in the Safety Collaborative monthly meetings that develop tool kits on OB practices
