Day to day operations of several groundwater plants as well as distribution systems and daily disinfection monitoring. Operate company vehicles. Minor electrical repair and concrete work. Respond to customer complaints, repair water leaks with the use
of various hand tools and read water meters with an electronic reading device. Fill out and submit work orders, reports and respond to various emails through the use of a company laptop.
Repair and maintain the city wastewater plant, water plant and lift stations. Repair leaks, replace plant piping, repair and replace pumps and motors. Respond to after hour calls. Tear down and rebuild pumps. Welding and concrete work. Operate company vehicles and heavy equipment. Pre plan upcoming projects and order the required parts and chemicals. Check pump voltage and amps as well as wiring in pumps and pulling new wire through electrical conduit.
Operate and help maintain a 100 MGD water plant. Operate SCADA system, change chemical flows, collect water samples and run lab tests. Repair and replace plant piping and chemical systems, repair valves, repair and replace pumps and motors.
Inspect large diameter pipe by going underground in confined spaces. Entering above and below ground water storage tanks for cleaning and disinfecting. Respond to various chemical leaks wearing the required PPE.
