Summary
I’ve been in the maritime industry for over 30 years and I’m still learning and would like to learn more. While serving in the navy and with military sealift command, I was responsible also for deck work such as painting and proper maintenance and cleaning of the ships bridge and the ships port and starboard bride wings.

Merchant Marine
While working as a merchant mariner with military sealift command, I was able to move up from ordinary seaman to able bodied seaman which provided me with more responsibility such as performing helmsman duties during underway replenishment evolutions with the aircraft carriers and other naval vessels. I was also required to perform lookout duties on the ships bow during inclement weather aa well as performing anchor chain readings when the ship was at anchor. Proper handling and maintenance of the firearm was another one of my daily duties as well as being assigned to the ships emergency response detail which includes suiting up in tactical gear and being armed in case of a security breach. I performed helmsman duties on a daily basis and I considered myself one of the best and I owe it all to the training I received during my time in the United States Navy.
