Summary

During my service with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office, I began my carrier in the correctional officer role for approximately 1 year. Duties were safety and security of the institution, employees, and inmates during my 12 hour shift. Submitting detailed logs of daily activities. Booking and processing individuals arrested and brought to the facility. I was then promoted to the criminal patrol divison for approximately 6 years. Job duties were respinding to calls and complaints of different origins from welfare concerns, civil matters, thefts, burglaries, armed robberies, homicides, and various other complaints. Fully conducting an initial investigation into complaints whether they could be completed during my initial investigation or follow up by another division was warranted. My duties was to collected evidence and write thorough investigative reports and to drief others on my initial investigation. Duringmy time in the criminal patrol division I was given the title of field training officer which my respninsibilty focused on training new employees policy and procedure, conducting thorough investigations, writing thorough and concise reports, and conditioning them to be that best they could be in the profession. In the last approximate 6 months I was promoted to Shift Sergeant. After leaving the criminal patrol division, I was promoted to the school resource officer position for approximately 3 years. I attended the National Association Of School Resource Officers basic and advanced training, which I was accredited and certified. Job duties as a school resource officer consisted of safety and security of the facilitu, staff, students, and visitors. Main focus was safety and security planning for the facility for hazardous incidents including but not limited to lockdowns and active shooter situations. I would assist staff and faculty with handling difficult and unsafe situations. I would conduct investigations thoroughly and arrest offenders. I would also be a mentor to youths that would struggle with daily life or offer them guidance in situations extending from home life situations. Duties would also be conducting criminal investigations with school time incidents affiliated with faculty or students. I was then promoted to the Juvenile Detectives Burreau for approximately 3 years. During my time as a Juvenile Detective, I conducted numerous investigations such as thefts, burglaries, child abuse, child sexual abuse, and various other types of investigations. During this time I was also promoted to Detective Lieutenant Supervisor of the Juvenile Detective Division. Job duties consisted of supervising 4 Juvenile Division Detectives as well as conducting criminal investigations. Duties would be to assign cases to Detectives, keep in account for time management spent on cases, and make sure cases were submitted in a timely manner. I would also bridge communications with the Department of Child and Family Services anf the Terrebonne Parish District Attorney's Office on investigations filed through the Juvenile Division. I would also counsel families pertaining to criminal investigations and make arrests on offenders. Detective Lieutenant with Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office Adult Criminal Investigations Division for approximately 16years. Job duties were investigations such as thefts, robberies, rapes, armed robberies, homicides, and various other investigations leading to successful prosecutions and increased public trust. Worked in collaboration with various other law enforcement agencies to solve investigations and make arrests leading to successful prosecutions. During this time I was also promoted to the Property and Financial Crimes Division Supervisor. Duties were supervising other Detectives, case and time management, assisting Detectives to make successful investigations for prosecutions of offenders. During my carrier I have helped families find closure, mentored Juveniles to become better individuals, trained Deputies and Detectives to achieve their full potential in their carrier, and also learned from others that helped me reach my full potential and a successful carrier
