In 2004, I was honored to receive a nomination for an award from my co-workers following a critical incident at a local restaurant. During a meal break with a fellow officer, patrons urgently approached our table to report that a woman in another area was choking. I went to her location to assist her and executed the Heimlich maneuver, successfully clearing her airway and restoring her ability to breathe. I promptly contacted emergency services, who arrived on the scene and provided necessary first aid.
Additionally, my co-workers recognized my dedication and contributions on the patrol shift, nominating me for my exceptional performance.
