  • In 2023, NNSA / NEST started the process of creating a Reserve Corps of personnel whose discipline may not be needed day to day for NEST operations, but who would provide essential benefit to the agency during a major RN emergency. One of those disciplines was determined to be State and Local Law Enforcement Officers with an RN background to provide expertise and liaison services to effected region. I was one of 10 officers selected for that responsibility.

  • In 2022, I was selected to serve as an subject matter expert for the Office of Radiological Security in the following areas:
  • Assist Law Enforcement Agencies in understanding threats presented by high-energy sources in their jurisdiction and developing policy to allow for a safe and effective response
  • Instruct First Responders and First Receivers in both cognitive and manipulative training
  • Liaise with agency staff during role call video filming

  • In 2014, I became an independent contractor to provide both instruction and operational assistance for NNSA / CTOS in the following areas:
  • Instructing a variety of personnel in awareness, performance and management level radiological courses in both the prevention and response domains

  • In addition to teaching the above, I am recognized as an SME in the Maritime PRND arena and was tasked with developing and implementing the FEMA-certified Maritime Operations Course, which is still a certified class today
