  • Input NJT Bus and Light Rail employee injuries and customer incidents, as well as Light Rail equipment incidents and bus collisions into ASM incident management software.
  • Identifies OSHA recordability of employee injuries based on OSHA Recordkeeping Requirements and by working closely with NJT Operations Risk Management/Workers’ Compensation, Medical Services Department, and external medical providers.
  • Maintains OSHA 300, OSHA 301, OSHA 300A Log/Forms and report data to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) and other State and Federal Agencies.
  • Interacts and communicates with NJT Bus Garage Management, Service Supervision, OSS Bus and Light Rail Safety Officers to acquire all information to accurately report injuries and incidents into appropriate databases.
  • Input records, reports, and medical updates into the Rail Safety Reporting System (SRS).

  • Represent NJ TRANSIT in court hearings for any bus and maintenance summonses

  • Ensure the NJ TRANSIT Bus Fleet is current with the insurance cards, plates, surrendering of plates, and registration cards, in addition to distributing copies of vehicle registrations and plate inspection tags to field locations
  • Represents Bus Operations as liaison with MVC to help interpret and incorporate changes to policies and MVC statutes
  • Analyzes and maintains data in the VMIS system to establish vehicles into Bus inventory
