Deportation Officer

• Responsible to interpret, apply, and enforce Immigration laws and regulations in order to conduct administrative and criminal investigations for the purpose of initiating removal proceedings
• Investigate, identify, apprehend, detain, prosecute foreign born nationals encountered in the United States who are not authorized to be, or remain in the United States
• Review immigration documentation for validity and ask targeted questions of each individual to identify alienage for removability
• Process the appropriate removal documents
• Collaborate with local and federal law enforcement officials to provide relevant information regarding observed or suspected criminal activity of foreign born nationals in their custody
• Create and conduct liaison activities with foreign officials
• Remove and escort foreign born nationals to the country of citizenship
• Coordinated with law enforcement agencies to apprehend individuals subject to removal proceedings.

• Assist other federal officers in investigating, identifying, apprehending, transporting, and processing violators of the Immigration law
• Prepare prisoners to be transported for overnight housing
• Maintain cell logs and security of officers and prisoners
• Jail transport from local, state, federal facilities
• Armed escorts of prisoners to other Immigration districts
• Escort foreign born nationals back to their country of birth

• Book incoming prisoners (searches, prints, pictures, process)
• Prepare prisoners to be transported for overnight housing
• Maintain cell logs and security of officers and prisoners

• Protects citizens by preventing crime, enforcing laws, apprehending suspects, and monitoring traffic.
• Prevents crime by explaining and enforcing applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances; teaching preventive, protective, and defensive tactics; mediating disputes; patrolling assigned area; responding to notices of disturbances; conducting searches; observing suspicious activities; and detaining suspects.
• Apprehends suspects by responding to complaints and calls for help, observing violations, and making arrests.
• Conducts criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing victims and witnesses, and interrogating suspects.
• Maintains safe traffic conditions by monitoring and directing traffic, enforcing laws and ordinances, investigating accidents, providing escort, and reporting unsafe streets and facilities.
