Selected Projects

Applied Machine Learning System — Digital Media Integrity

Contributor · Python, PyTorch, Computer Vision

  • Developed an end-to-end deepfake detection pipeline for forensic triage, comparing a baseline 3D CNN, an FFT-based ResNet50 model, and a fine-tuned final model.
  • Reframed detection from the pixel domain to frequency-domain FFT magnitude spectra and applied transfer learning with targeted fine-tuning to improve robustness and class separability.
  • Improved model performance from a baseline best of 66% accuracy / 0.7367 AUC to a final model achieving 90–92% accuracy and AUC above 0.95, with a best run of 92.29% accuracy / 0.9704 AUC.
  • Evaluated performance across six independent runs and profiled inference latency on Tesla T4 hardware, achieving roughly 2.72 ms per frame to support low-latency forensic triage.

Computer Security Project — Secure Messaging System

Contributor · Secure Systems, Threat Modeling

  • Contributed to the development of a secure messaging application designed to support confidentiality, integrity, and layered security controls.
  • Applied threat modeling and secure design practices to identify attack surfaces, evaluate risks, and assess system weaknesses.
  • Wrote technical analysis explaining how multilayer security models apply to modern secure messaging systems.

Java Compiler / Parser System

Individual Project, Java

  • Built a compiler-style system for a custom language, including a scanner, parser, token manager, and source file handler.
  • Implemented lexical analysis, syntax validation, and structured error handling using object-oriented design principles.
  • Developed a deeper understanding of language processing, abstraction, and systems-oriented software design.

Low-Level Systems Programming Project

Assembly Language (x86 / MIPS)

  • Developed assembly-language programs to explore instruction execution, memory management, and control flow.
  • Strengthened understanding of how high-level language constructs translate to hardware-level operations.
