  • Sew-in Technician: Performs quality inspection during production runs, mends voids in carpets as required. Changes backing as required. Doffs off carpet rolls as required. Frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds of unfinished/finished materials. Constantly push/pull fabric through the sewing machine and off machine into buggies or onto the conveyor using arms and hands. Specific vision abilities are required to ensure the correct product is being produced for our customers. Enter notes/date into the computer system. Comply with specific safety regulations.

  • Final Inspector (2years): Responsible for a final in-depth inspection, before signing off and approving the carpet to be shipped. My main duty is to find faults/defects in the carpet that may have been missed during the manufacturing process. If faults/defects are found, I have to tag that piece of carpet and decide if it can be corrected to ensure a better-finished product for the consumer or if it needs to be declined/disposed of. The goal is to ensure first time quality in a safe and timely manner and to ensure the product (carpet) meets company standards. Create and maintain records of all faults/defects to carpet in the computer. Additionally, accurately enter rolls in the computer and monitor the sew in the machine as it sews the carpet.
