Regional/Local Driver
10 Months- I am currently a flat bed driver. I haul lumber and all of it has to be tarped so a physically demanding job is no issue at all for me. while I am technically a regional driver I am currently on a local route account for the Plymouth, NC lumber mill; so I have a lot of experience with city driving making 1 to 2 drops a day. Western Express does not offer local driving positions but occasionally gives local routes to regional drivers such as myself based on performance and reliability. Because I am on a local route time management and safe driving are my absolute priorities to avoid delays or missed appointment windows. I have also developed an extreme value for clear communication between myself and my dispatch to ensure delivery and transport instructions are properly followed.
