Managed a commercial trail riding barn. Responsible for daily care of 10-12 horses. To include turn in and out, grooming, feeding, saddling and taking guests on 2 hrs trail rides. In charge of horse handling during vet and farrier visits as well as buying feed and hay and purchasing horses for the program.
Leased a barn in Oklahoma and Tennessee while my husband was in the military. I boarded outside horses full care. Fed, cleaned stalls, bough and stocked hay and feed. Mowed, did fence repair. Monitored horses for lameness or other issues that owners should be aware of. During this time I showed western pleasure and halter horses at state level. Bought and retrained auction horses to find them better homes.
Rode and trained auction horses in an attempt to retrain and remove. Fed, vaccinated and treated illness and minor lameness in approximately 25-30 horses at any given time.
