video booking inmates to include mugshots, pictures of tattoos, scars, birthmarks, and piercings. Each tattoo image is notated with a description of what it looks like and the location. Taking the inmates' fingerprints digitally using the IDEMIA system as well as taking DNA samples for anyone who has a felony and hasn't already been put into the FDLE DNA database. Doing hospital runs, where we are taken to the hospital to do ink fingerprints and/or DNA, and go to the healthcare unit to take ink prints and DNA if needed. Also, fingerprint and palm reverses are done (comparisons between prints just taken from booking that have been potentially matched to prints from an open case). I review the prints by looking for minutiae, ridge patterns, scarring, and other identifiable features to make a positive identification. which is sent to our supervisor for approval. I work on Records and ID (putting ink prints into the system digitally and update the information).
