I started in the trade upon entering old colony vocational high school and then started co-op in my junior year of high school in 1978 at Cotter machine. I started out as a manuel machinist and worked my way into cnc machines as they came into the trade. I got out of the machine trade in the mid 1980's and got into the labors union local 385. I did all kinds of heavy construction from pipe laying to concrete, road work, fence instalations and pretty much anything related to construction. I got out of construction in approximately 1988 when the work dried up. I went back to the machine trade. I worked back for Cotter Machine Company where I worked as a proto type machinist doing short run jobs most of time but can do most anything the job title requires, not limited to and with little to no supervision. I was made a better offer with Evans Machine Inc. in Brockton, Ma. in which I accepted starting on May 1st 2017 to present. I enjoy working at Evans, but would like to relocate in the Carolinas if the opportunity presents itself.
