- Learned research skills related to the healthcare of research animals such as mice, rats, African clawed frogs, and zebra fish.
- Learned procedure skills such as IP injections, animal handling, cardiac punctures, SC injections, euthanasia procedures, cleaning procedures, sample collecting, cage card reading, health monitoring and necropsy skills.
- Shadowed many researchers and healthcare providers in different areas of the NCI campus.
- Preformed a research project on the most efficient way to use a Hydrogel pack for mice when putting them in transportation containers to be moved.
- Listened and preformed in meetings going over animal research guidelines and new rules being put in place.
