Prospective nursing student with professional, hands-on experience in patient care through both behavioral therapy and senior care, supported by a strong background in hospitality and the service industry.
As a Registered Behavior Technician, I work with children ages 2–10, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques to support skill development and behavior improvement. My responsibilities include using individualized treatment plans to provide one-on-one therapy to clients, collecting data to track progress, and using positive reinforcement to encourage communication, social, and daily living skills.
While working as an in-home caregiver for seniors, my responsibility was to provide clients hands-on support with activities of daily living, which include personal care, mobility assistance, and medication reminders. I would also assist as-needed with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to medical appointments, and errands.
